Professional Guided Eco Explorations

Slow Food Meals and Conversations:

A major appreciation from guests has been to walk the gardens and pastures, in discussion about life at Bold Point Farmstay. The conversations are blended with nibbling berries, herbs and vegetables from the garden. Guests are encouraged to help pick ingredients for the evening meal. Suppers are also available for B&B plus Cottage guests.

Quadra Farmstay - Learn by Doing

Living and working on our 10 acre property where we naturally raise sheep, chickens and organic vegetables becomes a farmstay. Bold Point Farm stay offers a unique way of combining a vacation with a learn by doing experience.

Learn about organic farming and holistic animal care. Learn about medicinal plants, tree pruning, wild berry picking, kitchen garden planting, harvesting, pickling, canning, jam making, fruit drying, and smoking of meats. We can show you and teach you how to make country wines and jam from wild berries (salmonberry, currants, Oregon grape, elder flower). Wild craft for berries, teas, mushrooms, dyes.

We will share our knowledge with your about planting and harvesting organic vegetables, wild crafted teas, wild sea foods, naturally raised lamb and chicken. In the kitchen, we will blend the naturally raised ingredients into wonderful, slow cooked meal. These meals are further enjoyed with hours of stimulating conversations!

Learn by Doing programs are March 1 – October 30th. For online registration or inquiries please click here Farmstay fire wood collection Wind blown trees become Bold Point Farmstay's firewood.
